Babysitting from HELL
Yesterday i had to go to my sister's piano lesson and babysit for my teacher's three kids (a boy, and two girls). The oldest is around 9 and the boy is like 6 I think, and then the youngest is 2. Everything was going alright, we put in a movie, "Cheaper by the Dozen" and were just chatting. Then, after about an hour and fifteen minutes (i had fifteen left) all hell broke loose. Carly (the youngest)started going upstairs, wanting her mom, but she was teaching piano so Courtney (the oldest), helped me try to keep her downstairs. But then Justin decided that she could go upstairs, so Courtney and Justin started to fight and Justin started eating candy that he wasn't supposed to be eating and they started hitting each other. I pleaded with them to stop, and Justin came back with me while Courtney went upstairs to bring Carly back down. I'm just watching the madness on the movie and then I hear this loud crash upstairs followed by screams. So I'm thinking MY GOD? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? I tell Justin to stay down there with my sister, who by the way just sat by and DID NOTHING as this was happening. She later said that she wasn't the babysitter. BS, that's what that is. Anyway- so I run upstairs and Carly is screaming and crying her eyes out about four inches from the door to the piano room, where needless to say the teacher keeps teaching, even though its A DOOR WITH A HUGE FREAKING WINDOW IN IT SO SHE CAN SEE HER DAUGHTER CRYING FOR HER. Courtney holds her back and tries to calm her down. Justin runs to go and get her a bottle and blanket, and Courtney tells me that Carly got so angry when she didn't get to her mom that she chucked a candle in a glass holder on the wooden floor. Boy, isn't this great? So finally Carly calms down upon getting her blanket and bottle, and their mom comes out much later and takes over. And I didn't even get paid. I agreed to do it for no pay. Why I ask you? WHY? So I ran out of there as soon as my dad came to pick up my sis and her friend. It was chaos. So then today I had to babysit again for my friend's little sister and her 2 year old younger cousin. They were MUCH easier to handle. We watched a movie, played games at the house and went to the park. It was easy even though I was there for 4 hours. Zoe and I were playing sock puppets and stuff. She's so adorable! Well now I must go and sleep. Later.
